Dafur/Sudan/Rawanda

Wake up
wipe your eyes from the slumber
listen to the bell chime
it’s time to face the ugly reality
don’t turn away from the face
of your brother
your sister
dying before the eyes of the world
don’t close your ears to the moan of
those sacrificed to cleanse the race
your brother
your sister
what can you do what can’t you do
pay attention and remember
that you have two eyes two ears a heart
like your brother
your sister

I think that this is really great. Straight-forward, not flowery and trying to disguise the situation. I like it. I believe that if more people just woke up and saw the blood in the streets, the people dying, then they'd be more likely be moved to DO something about it. It's sad that it's not even the rebels who are being the main target for the Janjaweed; it's their families, their neighbors and friends. Thanks for entering!
