The Wind Daemons drove
-toward their goal
The Ancient hoary tumuli, of Node-En-Nimrood
For there they throve
In Elder Time
Beyond the black-dark eldritch veil
As scried within the rune carved silv'ry bowl
Of antediluvian Daemon Issrovel
-hydrargyrum limned and lined
In ever wavering tensile tendrils
Threaded through the aether's spheres
Clutching serpentine, wandering
-grasping blindly, maggot-like
At all the World's Fears
Those daemons rose and writhed
Their withered frames long left behind
Lich faces cruel and cold
-beneath the molder and rot
Of Aeons gone
And howled their rage at the coming dawn
To be banished once more anon
To hide their futile fury
-Impotent once more
To return to their place
Of Accursed binding
Beneath the lichen crusted, heather strewn
Forgotten hills and tombs of the tumuli of Node-En-Nimrood
Author notes
I changed 'day' to 'dawn' in the twentieth line.
