There's a song that I keep hearing
coming from far away.
The notes are always jumbled
yet I hear it day by day.
There's a wind within my heart
that's blowing cold and cruel today.
It howls and sears and scrapes my soul
yet I cannot get away.
There's a melody I'm singing
though I don't know where it's from.
It may be like another
yet I know there's only one.
There's a heart that I keep beating
deep inside the wound.
I feed it fire to keep it here
yet I know it's dying soon.
There's a song that I keep hearing
yet I cannot place the tune
and I cannot sing the melody
nor hide in windless room.

Mm, this is very...diffe
rent, it seems rather deep, and I like the way it isn't so forceful in emotions but more stating the fact and accepting it...I love the piece and the words-you always put together great poems! -
bravo
