Late Night Wondering

Three years ago a happy family lived.
He was a working husband,
and she was at home, absent (from her family).
Then
(after work one evening) (during the summer)
She finally found something [to make her happy,]
better yet, someone better (for her) and
(without her happiness) [living] isn’t possible (for them.)
She headed (for his house) late one evening.
(About an hour) passed and he lost his control (on her).
(Inside their room) all you heard was yelling (among them).
The child (in the other room),
Crying,
[wishing hopefully,]  he would leave (from her home).
Within the three years I’ve learned a lot-
why she’s late (from work),
how badly she needs [to be happy],
why he’s become so mean,
and how badly she wants someone else.
She wants it to be normal, but
he wants nothing to do (with it).
It’s never going to be like before
no trust,
confusion and depression,
a divorce and tragedy,
a new home and unhappiness.
I wonder if we’ll ever be happy,
(without him).
