If I could I would wrap the colors
of the rainbow, and tie the undecided
blue of the sky in a bow.
Perhaps pull clouds from their canvas,
soft as satin to soothe your soul; or
maybe move a mountain in your path
and take away your pain.
If I could I would wrap the good days
and deliver them at your door. I would
tie tenderness with smiling strings.
Perhaps pack up the sorrow you have seen,
send it sailing upon sunset's ship; and
steal away the stars from the moon. We
could cling to the hope of Heaven.
If I could I would wrap your lover's limbs
around you. Paint passion upon your heart
and ease the empty you feel without him. I
would tie your tears in his temperance.
Perhaps present you with wishes you've
longed for. Found in the flawless ocean
of his eyes. I would sing you lullabies
and leave you in the calm of his kiss.
