Day the turkey dreads is now here,
Hearing shouts of when is dinner,
Din of football game from room rear,
Weary for one cupful of cheer.
Cheer sung for well placed winning kick,
Kicking cabinet shut with woe,
“Woah, junior, pie now makes you sick,”
Cyclic returns for munchies flow.
Flows platters of abundant grace,
Grace sitting near Uncle Ed’s right,
Rightly tucks napkin under chin,
China glimmers in soft candle light.
Lightly salting last morsel set,
Setter resides by Junior’s seat,
Seatbelts fastened as we beget,
Begins my time to host, so sweet.

haha... what a festive wreath and so timely. I liked how the family setter even made it in and all the funny twists the words took. An American Thanksgiving by the hostess with the mostess.
