It was found found alone and wanting
With no direction or guidance
It sat quitely in this dark place.
Hiding from the pain, hiding from the truth
That only stepping into the sunlight
Can set it free, free to be be loved
Free to be inspired, free to be whole
Once more it sat on this shelf;
Until it was wrapped tenderly in your arms,
Holding you tight as we lay awake in bed,
Giggling and laughing, waking those trying to sleep.
Nervous and weary of being torn to shards,
Caution still thrown to the wind,
Yet, time
Is the true test to find,
If you can truely me mine.
So just know that in your hands,
You hold the key
To the heart and soul of me
And though I trust that you'll take heed,
Please don't lose the key,
For time has it's ways
Of making things fade

Aw, this is sweet
I have to tell you that. It's absolutely beautiful. For some odd reason, I keep getting the image of a gold key being held within someone's hand, like it's on top of a heart...I know, I'm a weird-o. Lol. But it's honest, stripping back the layers, and be truthful.
the poet and lover in me, want to embrace you, and stroke your hair, and breath in your scent and tell you that time is always right, you just don't know it. -

wow

very good
i'm sure even the cave man sat in his key
dreaming of the one who held the "key to his heart"
a wonderful write

Nothing is ever perfect as much as we wish it so. I enjoyed the poem , especially the fact that what you have written is coming truly from yourself in a time of confusion, angst etc. That is the true essence of poetry to me, letting the soul breath and scream.
Please keep writing and try not to let anything worldy stifle your creativity, as for the love I have a good quote which may help.
" Do not try to direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy will direct your course." Kahlil Gibran. -

hmmm...the poet in me ...
has learned to read between your lines, and because
of your author notes..it is CLEAR to see, that you
really NEVER took your heart off the shelf...you simply
went to the local pawn shop! harsh but true...and a
secret or two...I HIDE behind the words, only amazed
to find, that I have done this too!
about the poem: You built it well the first stanza's
to the middle. building it emotionally, and then you
left us in the last stanza spitting out dust.
RE-do this poem!! It is beautiful and deserves more
time to be defined by you artistically shaped and
filled with your honest grace!
(because we've ALL HAD TO DO THIS--now growwww!)

The author's notes made me laugh. This was such an emotional piece. It doesn't take much to realize this is clearly a serious issue in your life and the fact that this is personal makes it all the more intriguing. You've got a fine piece here... I personally enjoyed it. As far as advice goes I have no idea what to tell you... bite the bullet and hope for the best I suppose! <3

Thank you...
I really appreciate the comments, yes, my notes were a little...umm..they were random and kinda showed everyone the thought pattern that sorta was going through my head as I sat at work after 2 1/2 hours of sleep because I was trying to spend time with that certain someone and realized that I am in WAY to deep at this point...again, thank you for the comments and I wish you the best of luck in life, love and happiness, god knows you are gunna need it just as much as I do! - Jason

smiling...it is scary isn't it? but think nothing ventured nothing gained. you will be just fine...even if she doesn't feel the same way. it is a very liberating experience to tell the one you love that you love them, not so much for her more so for you.

Thank you...
Yes, i will be fine..in a wierd twisted sense, I will be. Thank you though for commenting on this piece...I needed some guidance to say the least and thought that this was the best way to describe my feelings and confusion and scurredness lol -

Nervous and weary of being torn to shards,
so many people have this very same fear. i am hoping that the one who now holds the key to your heart treats it tenderly and with kindness. thank you for sharing this write with me today. viyanna rosemarie

Thank you Viyanna...
I really appreciate your kind words and I hope that you recieve the same on a daily basis...I am pretty positive about the situation as of about 520pm though, I talked to her and thank goodness I straightened out the confusion and got things out in the open because I think I was going to go crazy running in circles around my thoughts and dramatic fantasies that had almost but consumed my thoughts...bets wishes!! - Jason
