As clouds spread smiles
While birds make way in the clear blues
Far above beyond human reach
In the midst of untainted purity
That shines through right before our eyes
The swaying trees dance on the floor
To the music of autumn wintry breeze
Standing tall guarding mother nature
While storms pass by silently storming
Through the calm streets
Packaged humans walk along sidewalks
Pets well groomed tucked behind their coats
Smelling the wild flowers caressing our senses
While wind blows the fragrance in the air
With pumpkin spice for thanksgiving dinners
Family gathering around
Friends laughing cracking jokes
Kids just being themselves, kids
While grandparents are giving blessings
Partners share their love
Creating a picture perfect thanksgiving
As the sunlight dims into moonlight
The stars sparkling disco lights
Behind those are our ancestors smiling contended
Looking down at us
While we are busy counting our blessings
We’ve collected in the jar of our memories
Happy thanks giving we wish each other
With bear hugs and warm smiles
Letting know we are incomplete without each other
The life would just not be same
If any of us were missing around the table
Family and friends come together
Collecting souvenirs of cherished memories
Locking deep inside tender hearts
As they wish good night until next time
While breezy moonlight still shines
Oh the ending is about happen
Everyone disbursed to leave for their nests
Filled with loving caring bed of roses
As everyone talks about how they’ve over eaten
While complaining about others
Thank God! This day is over, they say
And off they drive to loving homes
