My heart leaps as he comes down the path
A path from which no one can pass
Or they will fear the wrath
That only death forecasts
He walks only thinking of seeing me
And helping me through the dreary darkness of the night
Since I cannot see past the debris
Of the long forgotten fight
As I wait the moon shines bright
Over are heads and in our eyes
For our souls will reunite
Slowly expressing our long goodbye's
Hoping to live together forever
Under the moons loving embrace
No matter what endeavor
That is hidden in this dismal place
For our love can never be destroyed by the mere hand of men
They do not posses the power
And they will not be able to try again
During this unforeseen hour
Their eyes can only see their hatred and deceit
Hearts broken beyond repair
And they cannot defeat
What is not really there?
Now after many hours he has come safely to me
And now we leave to a place of peace
Our souls together after all that has passed
A place where we can find a true release

Very interesting write. More than one person had a hand in the writing but still it is smooth. In one or two places, like the last stanza it seems kind of different. The rhythm changes. Still, it's good. Thank you for entering.
