There's a sort of mystery in my eyes,
Someting I need you to know.
There's more beneath my crystal disguise,
So much that this heart yerns to show.
I await for another to realize,
To see the dull radiance, the pain behind my eyes.
I long for another who's willing to endure,
Another who's wishing for a reason to surrender.
Crying in the night, for a love that's more then skin deep,
For someone to hold me close and catch the tears I weep.
Wanting someone to fill this soul they left so hollow,
For these chained-up emotions to be free to flow.
But will someone take the time to peer inside and see,
I am alive and crave for my raptured life to be freed.
Gaze upon forgotten feeling, upon the passions caged with-in,
So filled with fear, this heart doused and stained by sin.
Drowning in a sea of hate, in the river of rage they spue,
Holding my angel to survive thier attempted stigma.
My frail body tingles with these feelings so new,
As purity and trust playfully dance in his eyes of aqua.
Wrapped up in strength and security,
Flying high above thier disapproval.
They attepmt to destroy me as they smile innocently,
Trying to corrode the joy, to watch the happiness crumble.
Emotions flare, I'm now able to smile, to cry,
Angelic light is shone upon a once fatal darkness.
Crave my heart, hear it beat, and beg my broken wings to fly,
In love I soar, becoming more, then just a beautiful sadness.

this piece is about finding peace and serenity....and not settling for any less then I deserve....it's about fighting for what I want....and holding on to what I have no matter how much people may try to interfere and take it from me......Not allowing others to define my happiness as wrong or right....but to find what makes my heart smile and my eyes dance and just hold on for dear life.

My sweet friend this is a very beautifully penned poem and I really love your depth and flow through out. your words are soothing and yet strongly written. you relay how you feel beautifully and you really send us all a strong message which is to never give up and never give in to settle but to find that true someone we all deserve to have. any ways I would suggest one minor small suggestion which would be spell check as couple of typos are in the poem but over all this is a unique poem and I love it. any ways keep up the good work
