To see two doves fly far away
as they soon depart
as they fly, wing on wing,
to them, oh, the heavens sing
as the painter paints his art.
As the doves did depart
beyond the endless sky
they meld together,
wing and feather
what is the reason why?
As they fly out into space
into the troubled stars
if one were me
and the other be
you, could we fly so far?
And could heaven praise the gift
could heaven praise the air
which drops a tear
that none could fear
through the lives of the fair.
I ask if these two doves
could they be pure in heart?
And could i be,
one with thee,
as the doves that did depart.
as they soon depart
as they fly, wing on wing,
to them, oh, the heavens sing
as the painter paints his art.
As the doves did depart
beyond the endless sky
they meld together,
wing and feather
what is the reason why?
As they fly out into space
into the troubled stars
if one were me
and the other be
you, could we fly so far?
And could heaven praise the gift
could heaven praise the air
which drops a tear
that none could fear
through the lives of the fair.
I ask if these two doves
could they be pure in heart?
And could i be,
one with thee,
as the doves that did depart.

I think that this is a great poem. How you used one of the most beautiful and magnificent creatures on earth to show your love, and passion. You brought out a fantasy in a daydreamer, i think that this is very good writing. You have made a good model for others, and I feel fortunate to have found you. Thank you for such a great write...much love..
