When you smile at me
I look at you and I see
The mysteries of love unfold
Before my eyes and heart.
When you say my name
You seem to erase
From within all of my pain
I just know that our love will never be out in the rain.
I hold you here and now
I show you the love I feel for you
I sit as I see all my dreams coming true
And for that and so much more I thank you.
I thank you for being there for me
In ways that nobody has done before
I wanna hold you now and until the very end
For with you is where my life has began.
I sit here in the dark
Watching as you sleep
So peaceful and so angelic
I realize that our love will last forever.
As though seeing all my hopes and dreams coming true
I see all that and so very much more
Each time I look at you
I know now just whom I'm fighting for.
I want to keep you safe and warm
I want to shelter you
From each emotional storm
I'll always be right here holding onto you.
I sit and wonder
What in the world did I ever do
To deserve someone so sweet
And angelic such as you.
I cannot see my future
But with you I do so hope
That forever together we'll be true
Because there's nothing I wouldn't do for you.
So take my heart
And hold it near
Know that with me
You have nothing to fear.
To dry your every tear
This to you I do so swear
To love and honor you
And to see that I know our love will never disappear.
