How far will you walk?

Separated vessels of specified thought
Contained within two captivated bodies
Longing and yearning for the slightest touch
Something to let them know the spark was still there
Held by what only they could convince themselves was righteous

A soulful desire between friends to become more
Simplistic avenues of what the journey for both of them would reveal
Ahead lay realisations that could be fulfilled by commitment alone
The only blocks in their path that could halt participation
Would never be placed by anyone else bar themselves

Tormented steps towards a new beginning begin to unravel
Where only self-fear can be brought on by unsure measures of thoughts
Dreams that hadn’t been dreamt
Nightmares that hadn’t transpired
In trepidation the way ahead was the only way

Moments taken by every heart beat and turned into fact
Start what could be seen as a frivolous outcome to some
But to the walkers of this path
Nothing but an enormous lift of tranquillity
And peaceful existence as one.

Author notes

Anyone who reads the above, and understands it fully will be a very wise person indeed. The word Niaish would be my answer. But for those who do not know the full meaning of it, may take a moment and request an answer that will enlighten your very soul. And with Tender Wolf's permission, I or she will tell you exactly what it means and more importantly, how much.

The response that matters the most could not be allowed to fade down the page after new comments, so I have incuded it here for all to see.

TenderWolf:
WORDS of HONOR
two hearts destined to be one,one saves the other, inturn the other is saved.words come to our heart and feeds a hunger soul, then happiness is borned. Commiment leads to bonds and bonds grow love...thoughts of others and untrue realities try's to turn real into fantasy. dreams will be dreamed, nightmares given to bravery. What was destined to be will be...You my Hetane are a true Warrior with a tender heart, filled with compassion for others...YOUR WORD YOUR BOND!

This is a very strong piece Mike and straight away made me think of the bond I have with my childhood, and best, friend. Now we are both pensioners and the years have only brought us closer together. Thankyou for sharing your work with us and taking me on this trip of nostalgia. Well done. Val

Liked this poem about friendship and love, and how one changes into the other; true love is hard to find, yet friendship can be this and one can love someone like a family member because of their likeness for each other. Enjoyed the message shared in these lines.

A beautiful write. Deep expression of emotion. I think you are talking about two people who share a special bond of love... truly on a spiritual level they are one. The journey may not necessarily be easy, but the oneness makes it worthwhile. Well penned and much enjoyed.

It sounds like a love story where the romance is forbidden or frowned upon according to society's views. Sometimes the most passionate friendships are the ones that are forbidden. This was beautiful.

Thanks Bill, indeed, closeness as two distant hearts beat to the same rythme.

Time taken to learn and understand the others heartfelt feelings does have a warmth returned. A great feeling to those who find it.

Love is not two people looking at each other starry eyed... It's two people standing side by side looking out in the same direction. This poem seamed to end with the two acknowledging that fact! Great write I enjoyed it

I could have used some cues about where the sentences begin and end.
Still, I feel a deep bond between two people, who will succeed or fail by their own courage and dedication. That could be a good marriage, or a strong friendship. If you have it, you are blessed.

Well, I read your note too, and it wasn't heart to understand what you are talking about. It is not easy just to write an comment, it is the theme one could ponder for a days, enjoying, smiling, looking for the next something within your words, always finding the right way to happiness, love, togetherness. Dreams to come reality...to walk together to the endless destination of the road. Sometimes it is not easy just to be, it is mostly hard to find the right path but at the end it is so nice.

Wow, the words you have written and so very many more...a truely inspirational and beautiful piece penned. Strong and courageous in honesty it stands, as sometimes the only path left seems to be that that is unlit, but by choosing it and walking it with trust and faith enklightenment comes and bonds are broken, strength gained on the way and freedom for the end...PEACE from knowing...thankyou for sharing such a personal and precious piece, humbled, much love and kindness your way Anna-Marie

When we sail a tempest where the path to harbor is uncertain, we are very challenged to come to grips within and a knowlege of ourselves. There is sometimes a terrible ache and fear that comes with it. A frivolous outcome? A frivolous start for me, and a painful outcome, but I learned something of my own value in the process, and about love, too.

Many of us relate to these words on some level, because we all have to choose our steps, and we don't get to go backwards. ~K

Karen, it is with your own footsteps that the path you choose is taken. Only you can lead the way and your heart will follow or guide, it all depends on which way your soul desires to go.

My dearest emotions reign within this write from gladness to tears yet filled with personal worry and wonder - maybe I am doing my usual and overreading more into something that might not be there to have. Either way the write was deeply intense filled with what seems like many mixed emotions of love and loss entwined by distances. Each time I read this brought many tears of love, wonder, and fear. talk soon and many blessings always love you forever always xxxxxxxx

      Thank you my Hemeoone, .

My words will be many over the next day or two. I have so much to tell, and some not. This one was a silent trip one night which brought this one about. will explain fully when we get a proper moment to ourselves.
