I can't say it
I won't tell him
I can't
I don't want the Hurt
I don't want the Pain
I don't want to tell them
I won't
I can't tell them
I hate them
Mommy
Daddy
Why didn't you love me?
Why didn't you care
I hate you...
I hate you
I hate you!
I HATE YOU!
WHY?
Author notes
If you know anything about Primal Therapy, you'll understand. If not, read "The Primal Scream"
by Arthur Janov, PhD.
A quick incite; when an infant's Primal Needs (feed me) aren't met by the parents, it will cry a few times when it happens, then it will learn that the parents won't come. It will stop crying and acquire a Hurt. As he grows, he will acquire too many Hurts and it causes neurosis, the splitting of himself. His unreal (the one that he made so he can be loved) will surface. The real self will be buried. During Primal Therapy, memories are delved into until the patient is reliving certain Primal Hurts. They may cry (depending on the time it happened) and at the end, they will emit a Primal Scream, where that Hurt and all the tension it caused is supposedly released. Patients go through more than one Primal.
I guess this wasn't quick, but to make sure you understand...

I appreciated the explanation in the author's note, for psychology fascinates me; however, more could be done with your piece poetically to express that raw surge of emotion. It has promise, but much could be done to beef it up. Thanks so much for entering my contest!

Very interesting and intruiging piece from the provided picture. Nicely penned.
