Isabelle Diane Mills

Baby girl, Isabelle Diane
Born at eight twenty six
Twenty seventh August two thousand and seven
A little bit of heaven.
Three ounces and six pounds
Your love for her abounds.
So many inches from dark brown locks to big feet
Dark blue eyes make her complete.
With a squishy little granny look
The first of many for the family book.
Mum and Dad's pride’n joy
For all the family to enjoy.

Author notes

This poem was written to my Niece. who after 6 years of trying to start a family finally gave birth to a baby Girl. During this 6 years My sister, her Mum passed away from cancer without seeing her first grandchild come into this world. Seemed like I needed to put pen to paper to celebrate the occasion.
