Indulgent mélange with brilliant hues
each fallen leaf has paid her dues.
Airy budding pledge in Spring,
newly hatched birds on wing,
the greens turn to brass
with seasons pass;
gold and red,
yet dead,
- Fall -
in
my arms.
Pyre alarms
make passions flame
as you speak my name.
Titian leaves hug the ground
to calm Autumn lover’s sound.
A world in dormant splendor lies;
Mother Nature sings sweet lullabies.

This is a rhyming nonet chain with reverse nonet. I attempted to make this format unique. I hope this is acceptable for this contest.

Absolutely is allowed~ That is how ya would do it ~ if your going to do it~ which I give you > ++ ~ Your nonet is terrific (a line or two is off by a syllable... but unless your counting it's not noticable... Normally I know as I read which is off~ I had to go back and count on yours...) Obviously it doesn't hurt the heartbeat of the piece.
I love the content of the piece... totally fitting with the seasons... and like hot chocolate in the winter time~ (you yearn for it) This piece filled my soul... Nice job!
Congrats on getting to Round 3 ~ Well done~ good luck to you this round~ -

Thank you for pointing out the incorrect syllable count. I am a perfectionist and a true nonet must adhere to the proper number of syllables. I have edited this poem, and I hope you will take the time to re-read it before final judging. Thank you. Liz
