Believe in Santa Claus –
the jolly rotund man who brings presents to the good children.
Believe that that day is special
and is supposed to be shared with those that you love.
Believe in the Easter Bunny –
the magical fluffy white tailed rabbit.
Believe that it scatters pastel colored candy for
the young to find and enjoy.
Believe in relationships –
in trust and wholehearted commitment.
Believe that two people can love
and be genuinely loved in return.
Believe in the dream –
the happiness that we all crave.
Believe that life will give us what we desire
and that we are deserving of it.
Believe in it all…
Believe until life eventually teaches you otherwise.
Believe until it’s beaten out of you by the few you let into your life.
Believe until you are shattered beyond repair.
Believe until you can’t believe anymore.
And then don’t.
– Because they never existed at all…

Bueno
I hope that this poem wasn't completely serious because it made me laugh a bit.
Existence is a funny thing, how many people around the world know who you are? 100? 1000? How many people around the world know who Santa Claus is? 10,000,000? 100,000,000? So who's to say which one exists more?
And in response to the second to last stanza:
A great man once said "you have to lose to learn how to win."

thanks for the applause!
I'm glad that you saw the humor in it. It isn't meant to be taken too seriously, but with a laugh and a tear.
