Seasons
Precious petals fall
as a summer breeze blows
tears from a summer cloud slips
as the electricity in the air crackles
and the skies grow dim
as the world slowly and silently
dies
Soon the seasons change
and the leaves change with them
the air grows cold
as the world turns frigid
Finally the world is dead
with frozen tear drops on the rigid ground
the vines drooping low to their burning soil
trying to salvage any last spec of warmth they can
Eventually the world is revived
the flowers bloom and the warmth returns
and once again the cycle is complete.
