Lazy days on the beach
Sipping sodas with old friends
Laughing 'til well after sundown

I am a creature of the night
I lurk and prowl in the shadows
Feeding on the innocent dreams
Of the ignorant and hopeful

I am a frightened child
Hiding from the world
Behind toys and make-believe stories
Afraid to leave my home

I am a rock
Solid and unmoving
Offering silent guidance
For those who need to rest

I am a lover
A hater
A giver
A taker

I am me

    Ok...god.

    It's okay, but the stanza,

    I am a lover
    A hater
    A giver
    A taker

    doesn't match your previous stanzas. This poem had potential, but the one stanza makes it confusing.
