I lived,
before,
under the cover of clouds.
One day, I considered,
briefly,
the purity of blue skies
and I looked for a path
to the country without clouds;
I found it,
here, with You.
My country did not change,
the landscape remained
fixed
but the clouds were displaced
by the breath of Your Love.
I see, now,
others under their clouds
looking within, without hope
into their oh so shadowy sky.
I look, now,
towards You
where the light is sharply layered
and dissolves
in successive levels,
as veils lifting.

I found this an intriguing piece feeling a personal story lies beneath the waves of words. Excellent flow and essence within your lines, well done!

I like this piece
Your words are amazing. I love the way your words flow. I hope I can write like this one day. May your words keep floating like a swan on the lake. I love this poem.

those final two lines drive it home for me, powerful, and yet so delicately stated! such wonderful imagery throughout this piece!

Yes, shadowy skies.... I like that term for what clouds our view of peace and light in life, for shadows are dispelled with light in an instant. Love is the most brilliant of lights, refracting colors like a prism only so much more expansive.
Maybe our layers of successive light is from each level of learning that we achieve in life, like moving up a staircase, or moreso, a mountain, where the sun illumines the clouds until the peak transcends them.

Ah! Ah!
Divinely inspired, for His layers are lifted one by one, until we see THROUGH the Mirror INTO his Riddle ... Not reflected anymore, but sheerly connected to the Core of his Being!
I love your work, Richard, and I love your soul, so intense in its search.
Thank you, my friend, for writing such lovely letters of sacred love.
Be well and be blessed.
Love

Beautiful
Seems as though you could take this in a romantic way or a spititual way to me. Beautiful write as the clouds moved away for you! The title Found and the first line I lived before under the covers of clouds and the last line as veils lifting. Increadible write, very brilliant I must say. Thank you for sharing with me.

it seems to me, that the best worship songs are Love songs the soul sings aloud, why not poetry as well. (?)

This is oh so lovely! I especially loved this part:
"My country did not change,
the landscape remained
fixed
but the clouds were displaced
by the breath of Your Love."
