Tears drip silently
down my numb face
and sting it back to life with
the short burst of warmth
which fades and
hurts more than the
cold snow
I'm walking on;
I can't feel my feet
anymore
I've been walking for so long...
I can't believe I'm wearing
this black dress
and have
black, leathery wings;
I should have just held on
and been good.
I can't feel my pain
anymore
I've been hurting for so long...
My black locks swing about
my face
as I take in jagged breaths
it's so cold...
I've been in this dark wood
lost for so long-
I can't find the way out
I can't feel my soul
anymore
I've been struggling for so long...
A light hits my face-
it's soft and faint,
but it's a light
that has found me in this dark place
I can see my path
once again
I've been blind for so long...

this is definetly a sad poem. One that sadly, I can relate to far too well, in so many ways. You really did a good job with this poem, it was a reat tear jerker.
