Three amazing years we were together,
Knew each other inside and out.
Cared and loved one another,
In your arms I felt safer than ever.
Somewhere along the road we crashed and burned,
Slowly we began to drift apart.
You were the first to trully get my heart,
My first true love, the first to love me.
We were by each others sides,
Survived alot of hard times.
I can't help but wonder,
Would we still be together?
If we never decided,
To invite someone else in.
Was that our untimely mistake?
Or was this the way it was meant to be?
We were both scared and lonely,
Felt unable to love and move on.
Together we completed each other,
Helped one another frow and survive.
I'm not sure how to live without you,
Its a shame that time dosen't move faster.
They say time heals all wounds,
I'm waiting for that day to come.
You taught me how to be a better person,
Allowed me to live and love once again.
In time and by talking to one another,
Hopefully I can overcome this hurt.
Possibly even be friends with one another,
For now I need to proccess things.
Figure out where my life is going without you,
However I will always and forever love you.
I'm not sure how to deal,
Watching you happy with someone else.
Knowing he is loving you the way I did,
It's my turn to find true love and happiness.

Heart-Felt
My dear sweet friend Chrissy it hurts me to fele your pain but the way you wrote your poem from the heart here is just beautiful. I felt your every word and e-motion and I really felt your heart open and express how you feel. in heart break it is often hard to find that special someone else but take it from me and my experiences it only took me another few months to find that special someone then I lost her to death *sigh* then Iwas struck by true love again not even 1 year later and we were happy and been together for over 2 years then she broke it off without another word or apologie. The point to my comment is there is someone out there waiting for your warmth and love. I know deep down like you do that you will find someone. Just remember to never let yourself be hurt and never settle for just anyone but find that special someone you truly deserve. keep on writing.
