There are goblins in my garden
and winged beasts on my porch.
Nowlook! there's Frankenstiens monster
carrying a little torch.
On the path, doing math
is a scientist looking very tense.
Dracula and his evil bride
are sitting on my fence.
Here comes a pretty princess
followed by a very hairy wolf,
and I just saw a group of angels
land up on my roof.
Now there's three bears, carrying chairs
they say they want some porridge.
Now there's an alien camping out
in the shed I use for storage.
I hear a shriek, then someone say
"Ha ha I got you good".
Then I see G. I. Joe
hiding behind my firewood.
There are ghouls who groan and drool
as they flit around my yard,
along with Freddy Kruger
with his face so scarred.
There's a pirate and a policeman.
OH! what a funny looking pair,
and just behind them, Ranpunzel
with her golden hair.
Now comes a gray haired Gramma
her makeup is very glam.
She doesn't want any candy
she says she wants a can of Pam.
Oh what a sight, this hoary night
to see so many different things.
Somewhere in the distance
I hear a doorbell ring.
I wake up on my couch
not feeling very dandy.
It was just a dream- it's halloween
I just ate too much candy.
