Cry, Aphrodite, cry
Live the pain you bring
Rain on us with mystic tears
Clip Cupid's silly wings
Lie, Aphrodite, lie
Tell us love is what we need
I think you like to see suffering
You love to watch us bleed

Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love.

This is quirky and clever, simple and yet hitting on universal sentiments we all can relate to. This stands out for its originality. I like it very much.

The first four lines especially conveyed a vengeful satisfaction that the goddess of love get a full dose of the downsides of romance! Definitely an unsympathetic take on Aphrodite! Very creative take on the prompt!

Sadistic...
Nice and short, but, yeah, short. Either way, I like it, it's a good, short poem. I don't really know entirely where it's coming from, but that mystery leaves it with a bit of power.
