Expectant of your showing
Hoping, hungering
A lingering sense of apprehension
A fear that you will not show
Time passed and I felt the feelings grow
Anger welled up
A personal shame
I waited out, in the cold and rain
Hopeful, but, you never came

I gazed into the sunrise
No sun though in the sky
Just crimson kissed the ocean
And the bird call fell silent and died
The grass withered and turned black
Under each footstep I took
I waited for the last kiss goodbye
A sealing pact, an act of faith
Faithless now, it never came
I felt lifeless in the pouring rain

So I disintegrate under the red sky
The moon watches and smiles
I am cast upon the rampant wind
I finally scatter in every direction
