Princess Aneka

Missing image

Princess Aneka

Princess Aneka has a spell
To make the children feeling well
By playing songs on pots and pans
Jump up, turn around, clap your hands

In Africa there is a way
To brighten up a gloomy day
With just a little change of plans
Jump up, turn around, clap your hands

We follow Princess Aneka
We smile and shout  “eureka”
Just follow her simple commands
Jump up, turn around, clap your hands

So sing this little song with me
You’ll be so happy, you will see
And if you have no other plans
Jump up, turn around, clap your hands

Very sweet. In the midst of my work day, this is a nice break. For a moment I'm taken into the heart and mind of a child. You have the heart of child to be able to write this. You could easily do children's ministry. Perhaps you do.

    Delightful

Children would love it. So playful and I just love the bit about changing plans, which I do all the time! No guilt here -- that's great.

You know how they say that if you do something for someone, you are repaid ten fold? Well, Aneka's letter just did that for me. This made my day; please tell her that she made me so very happy.

      Love,
      Amera♥

You know what this reminds me of?

I used to work at a school for disabled children, and once a year a South African storyteller would come. I don't know if it was the cadence or content, but it reminded me of her.

Its just a sweet, happy poem that has a gorgeous singsong quality to it.

Playfully sweet, and a wonderful dedication! I sure did want to jump up and clap my hands. I think I will, but my cat is eyeing me thoughtfully.
