Pain, Progress, Accomplishment, Satisfaction

From pain comes progress
From progress comes accomplishment
From accomplishment comes satisfaction

For all the nights
When I would have killed
To have but one more chance
Times when tragedy was always around the corner
Pain.

For keeping in step
With the rest of the world
As I spiraled into a muddy future
I hid my scars and let the sunlight shine down upon me
Progress.

For the breaking point
The moment I felt more alive
Letting everything go saved my life
I was finally free to exist without the past weighing me down
Accomplishment.

For all that has been
All that will create a new me
The lessons I have learned from failure
The things that will allow me to exist much more happily
Satisfaction.

From pain comes progress
From progress comes accomplishment
From accomplishment comes satisfaction.

A little more upbeat and hopeful than most of my work. I hope you enjoy it!

    I really like this poem for it's structure, content and positivity. I can relate well to it. I love the way it builds with reference to the opening stanza and the final confirmation which almosts serves as a mantra

    Your poem is written in such a way that it would leave the most critizing person speechless. Your creativity in the way you wrote this poem is simply amazing. The beginning is just as beautiful as the end. Great job.
