I'm not really alone
I brought some friends with me
they're in here, too.
one of them is Hope
very important, Hope
without her, this cell becomes a tomb
also here is Courage
he keeps me strong
during those times when the pain is greatest
Patience is here with me, too
reminding me that there are people outside this tiny room
who have not forgotten me.
also in here with me is Imagination
who gives me brief release
from this dull chamber, for he is immune to locks
The best of all is Faith
that blessed assurance
that God still loves me
and has better plans for me
I am not alone
my friends are all here, too
and i can talk to them anytime
