BDD: Body Dysmorphic Disorder,
a mind that hates its body.
This disorder was news to me,
but I wlll try to understand,
with a little help from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_dysmorphic_disorder
------------------
Eons of evolution,
billions of lifeforms rejected,
devoured or killed,
in a hostile world.
Now we have society,
some social order,
a civilized world,
But Jessie hates her body.
Whence this horror?
This time is different:
Not nature's cruel joke.
Society and low esteem,
paralyze this poor girl.
In her mind, she's dead to the world,
her skin is scaly,
her hair is frazzled,
she's a monstrosity incarnate.
In the world, her body is fine,
her mind is the problem.
But the problem
is the solution,
which is the problem.
While her life is short,
to her it feels long.
She lives alone.
At peace with everyone
But herself.
Save this poor girl,
from herself.
Wrap your arms around her.
And suffocate her demon
with your kiss.
