An almost invisible line
A minute curve
Barely there
A flicker of warmth
A moment of understanding
An olive branch
Shared between two
Complete strangers
A passing smile.

oh wow, I liked this, a lot. The description of that moment, especially how you started it, reminded me of a concept I was very enamored of a few years ago called an 'asymptote'...it's a mathematical concept I adapted to the philosophy of my mind at that time. The minute curve...the invisible line, barely there. It's all so interesting, this growing so close to something that you may as well touch, but you're not touching no matter how close you get. Of course, you took a similar idea and went in a different direction, but it was nice to be reminded of that.
Your idea here was beautiful, spotlessly executed. Very enjoyable.
Thank you for the entry, and best of luck in the contest!
Nick
