Little dragons so cute and sweet
Little talons where there should be feet
Scales of yellow blue and green
Mostly blue but then red or so it seems
Little dragons to play with me
Hopefully staying tiny so as not to dine on me
Tiny sharp teeth they do possess
Yet I feed them snacks of crickets and mice
Sometimes the occasional mean child to suffice
Oh my dragons so cute and playfully tame
They are mine to teach all the Little Dragon games
To play fetch like my doggy not with him you see
Cause my doggy doesn’t like my Little Dragon
He’s just for me to see and is all mine
He likes to play with me all the time
Sometimes he gets me in trouble with mom
Cause little fires he does start with his hot tongue
Breathing fires is a really big no no
But mom doesn’t see him so she blames me you know
Well it’s time for my little dragon to sleep
He’s tired and when he yawns my hide I’d like to keep
So far away from his mouth I have to get
If I want to keep him or he keep me as a pet

My son asked for a poem. I asked about what he said dragons. I said what kind little or big. Little he said. So here it is.

This is so precious and I'm sure your son loved it. Very cleverly done and it flowed soft and sweet. No fire breathing dragon, more of a cute little pet than anything. My daughter loves little dragons, too. She watches Dragon Tails a lot. Reading through this, I couldn't help but think of "Spot," the family dragon on THE MUNSTERS. I'll bet your son just loved this poem. Bravo! Don
