LOOK AT ME!
Please take a moment to look into my face
Instead of just passing me at a pace.
There still is a silken trace
Of the beauty I once possessed.
If you can’t spare a glance then
Stay and talk awhile,
My history is rich and velvet to the touch.
But no, because my eyes are now hooded,
My lips are pale and dry,
You are programmed to pass me by.
Even though your youth and beauty
Gladdens my old eye
You don’t return my stare.
You have no time to waste on old parchment even though the
Secret of life is written there.

Very nice.
I really liked this one; thanks for entering and good luck

A sad truth, the youth of today, like any other era, know it all and are to busy to learn from those no longer young. True? Well done.

Well... I actually think that the rhyming was a little forced and the flow was quite choppy... but the message was very admirable.
Thanks for entering and good luck.
