Hold her close and trace her skin
Pull her into me
A gentle breeze of nightly wind
A darkness none can see
Her in hand I have a taste
My lips to her neck soft
So deadly the warm embrace
Leaving her for lost
Never knowing what has come
Or why it came about
Simply knowing you are done
Pointless still you shout
No one around but you and I
There’s no one that will hear
So I allow your dying cry
And lavish in your fear
Take it in breath by breath
I feel your body tremble
As you grow still slow creeps’ death
For the corpse you now resemble
You dying eyes look into mine
And forgiveness you may pray
Someone might think twice next time
And walk my path in day
Author notes
Um this is the female victims fate, she ought to have walked during the day, not my path at night.

This is wonderful, dark, deadly.
A wonderful embrace of pain and need.

Wow, great write, thanks for entering my contest! Your poem is just the kind of thing that i was looking for in response to my own, and you have managed to answer all of the questions and meet all of the challenges presented in the prompt piece. Fantastic job! I loved the rhythm and rhyme you used in your piece, and the easy flow that it maintained throughout. Excellent work!
