I rise from joy-filled dreams to find
a simple sorrow waking too,
weighty worry - yesterday’s brew,
procrastination’s piece of mind.
I pray - release, relive, rejoice
with voice, stored joy, my conscience bares,
send sorrow packing for repairs
then gamble with what’s left, my choice!
A simple sense of solitude
sees all that nature can provide.
So come what may must coincide
when simple joy, minds gratitude.
Each breath I breathe cannot be saved
Each day a gift ~ cradle to grave ...

This is very good. The rhyming is spotless and very well thought out. It reminded me of a poem called "A Psalm of Life" though I cannot remember what great poet from long ago wrote it. Very well done indeed.
Thank you for the entry, and good luck in the contest.

Aww.... How sweet the sentiments you've expressed here. I love the way your thoughts flow so smoothly from beginning to end. Clear, concise messages are always the best for me. Best wishes in the contest.
