We'll never have that day

I'm in awe at how you touch me, spiritually
I'm amazed at what you see when you look at me
I appreciate all the things you do and say
It just saddens me to know we'll never have that day.

I won't stay sadden long, because we'll have something I hope won't end
Better than any lovers relationship, because I'll always have a friend
I've never had a connection with anyone as I do with you
and I love how you have patience with me because of all I've been through.

It tickles me at the things you say to me when you fuss
and I'll always wonder what could have been between us.
For my sake I will try not dwell on it to long
I don't want you to think that's all I want because you'd be wrong.

You in my life, however I can have you is fine.
I just thought I finally found someone that at last would finally be mine
I guess I do and you are, but in a different way
It just saddens me to know we'll never have that day.

I hope you don't take this as though I'm complaining
You know I have trouble with my explaining.
I love you more than any friend ever could
I hope now what I was saying is better understood.
