"Hansel brother..." Gretel said.
"Please do wake, I think I hear someone out side"
and at that point footfalls echoed
with a hastened stride.
Hansel replied, "Gretel run and hide!"
and that's what the twins tried to do
but from eating the sweets that made up the house
at least two sizes they grew.
"What is this!!!" a shrill so loud
and as high as a barnyard mouse
but then a low growl came from the witch's throat
"someones been eating my house!!"
She pulled from her side a crooked old wand
waved it, and corrected all damage
then two tiny voices came from a dark corner
"Forgive us for we were so famished."
"Oh children!" the Old witch said
licking her tongue on her teeth
eying them both with a snarled grin
and poking at their chubby little cheeks
"You will both make such nice little treats"
she said while licking her chops
and just like that she picked Gretel up
and through her in the stew pot
and Hansel met a similar fate
the main course as a roast
with a nice Chianti and some fava beans
and for sides poached pares and toast
now I'll admit this is a silly story
where all is not peaches and cream
but I wish you all the best of times
for this up coming Halloween

and much love~ Desire~*~
YAY! This is an awesome story. All throughout the parts, your rhyme and flow is awesome. I'm glad you had time to write. I always enjoy your works. Poor children, eaten up. But they sure did eat the best last meal in the history of man. Lol. Very good. Have fun.
