A road less travelled, or one frequently driven?
All are faced with the choice, some with little thought given.
We all reach the same spot in the end of the trip,
but some of us learned more that others chose to skip.
A straightaway sure to get you there fast without hassle,
a short, safe trip through life, from pauper to king of the castle;
a long, winding road with surprises around all the corners,
full of broken hearts, taken lives, and many mourners.
If you had the choice to say which road you would take,
would you opt for the lessons or live life as a fake?
Would you be brave enough to face the challenges of life,
or would you choose saefty and be free from all strife?
It's do or die, right or wrong, strong or falling short,
could you live with yourself and the way you distort
reality with your fears of what could come up next?
It's the emptiness of life that leaves most perplexed.
So raise your head high and be ready for the storm,
and be proud you had the nerve to say no to conform.
A straight road to the end seems so easy and quick,
while the winding road has been known to sometimes afflict
those who travel it with sadness and hard lessons to learn,
so prepare for the long run because here comes your turn.
Will you be brave enough to see the forest for the trees,
or will a life lived as a lie leave you down on your knees?

Don't know if this is what you wanted in the contest. I figured I'd enter it anyway, but if it's not to your liking, I will remove it.
Pretty self-explanatory really. Will you take the easy road through life, and basically not really live? Or will you be brave and hopeful through all life has to offer and be a full person in the end? A life lived in fear is a life not lived at all.

This is AWSOME!! Its beautiful and it depicts life for what it truely is. Just because it looks trouble from the outside doesnt mean I still wouldnt take it with open arms. Their is no point to life if you do not choose to live it, although sometimes you may have no choice in it. But i would still choose it with a smile on my face!!
