My diversion

It seems to me, o friend of mine,
that you have lost the will to rhymne,
to jostle words together 'gain,
use this means to express it plain

care not for style,
care not for beat
care not for Muse
for she is fleet.

but write whate'er comes inside
this is the freedom bonafide
that we, the poets, truly share
we can write without a care.

Anything written down
so be it your own thought
is truly your own poet's crown
and this the thing that you have sought.

nicely done... I am not even disgusted with your use of rhyme.... pretty clever and creative and well worded... thoughts that have come together/been organized quite nicely! thanks for this entry!

    good luck!

Lol simply amazing. Although I am not sure if its in mockery of the poets who free verse or not. I, for one, believe there is a line in poetry. You can write poetry, truly, without meter, but without rhyming I would consider it little more if not simply prose written very prettily. I liked how you switched from AABB in the third stanza to CDCD in the fourth it was interesting =D but the second stanza, although it didn't completely rhyme, was still amazing it maintained a flow and direction =)
