Tessie is my teddy,
She sits upon my bed,
I tell Tessie everything,
All that's in my head,
She never shares my secrets,
Never tells a lie,
I love my Tessie teddy,
On her I can rely,
We've been through lots together,
Allies through the rain,
We never lose our friendship,
She helps me through my pain,
Tessie is my teddy,
She's thirty two years of age,
She's seen my happiest moments,
She's witnessed tears of rage,
Tessie's very threadbare,
Worn from being held,
Many nights tucked in my bed,
Wherever we have dwelled,
Now Tessie sits upon the bed,
In my daughter's room,
Tessie's brand new mummy,
I watch their friendship bloom.
