    Thank you for the entry into my ku contest. This is a well written haiku, but if I count this out correctly, I come up with a 5-7-7 vice the required 5-7-5.

      OMG you are right Pollycheck. Why is it that I seem to concentrate on the meaning of the haiku and forget the count - must be because it's such a left brain function and I'm using mostly the right when writing. Thanks for pointing that out!
