Black curtains close upon the world.
Darkness sweeps the sky.
That night is here, forces are near.
Bats and spirits fly.
Children dressed up, trick or treating,
Their faces all aglow,
Collecting sweets and candy,
But I will tell you though…
That this is all just the fun stuff,
Candles, pumpkins, sweets.
Tonight worlds collide and portals open.
Spirits enter in fleets,
To see their loved ones for a little while.
By morning they'll be gone.
All magic and wonder returns tonight.
Each year there's only one…
Halloween.
As we celebrate the end of summer make the most of this wonderful day, its time for fun, don't be glum, throw all scepticism away!
Author notes

Finally, a happy poem. I've read a lot today and not many of the authors have seemed happy, concentrating of lost love and who knows what other things. So your poem left me smiling and shaking my head yes!
Halloween should be fun, thanks for reminding everyone!
