Some October morning,
when the air is crisp and clean,
I'll walk with you, and talk with you,
and show you what I mean.
These leaves now are falling
as nature does permit,
as trees are green, they now are seen
to shine iridescent.
The breeze that blows upon us
in the cold October morn--
it has a message, saying this:
the day is just now born!
Some say it's a warning
of the winter yet to come,
but we'll just say, yes, we'll just say,
that it's all in good fun.
Remind me, friend, to tell you
of these autumn days again.
I wish to die, if I must die,
just remembering them.
Wake, my friend, I'll show you
how this season casts its spell
upon us all, yes, on us all,
in this land where we dwell.
Some October morning,
when the air is crisp and clean,
I'll walk with you, and talk with you,
and show you what I mean.
Please tell me what you think

My dear friend and brother Daniel. This is indeed a great piece. I would love to take that long walk with you one day. Maybe someday when we are both old and grey we can take it. Until then, Take care.

What's this? You told somebody you have no talent for writing? (as stated in Morgan Kennedy's comment). Dan, how could you? Nothing could be further from the truth. You have remarkable talent and this poem is no exception. From the heart you have comes lots of creativity. Never forget that. I like this poem. Nicely done.

I agree with Sir Ima Cucumber (funny name
). It is beautiful and has elegance, but I didn't find it simple. I'm not saying that it's confusing, but just that it has any messages within it. It's very well written, Love. How dare you say you have no talent for writing!

It's simple and beautiful, and not about cutting or lost love which dominates on Ap...thanks you! lol.
But it is beautiful, there's as I said a simple elegance to it, in the love of nature and the enjoyment of sharing it with another person...of having there share what we see.
I popped in here by random, and I'm glad I did.
