Your presence may not be
Right beside me anymore
But it will always remain
Deep within my heart and soul
You’ve made such a huge impact
On my agonized soul
And all the hurt got blown away
With your calm and soothing words
It would just be impossible
And a terrible sin to forget you
To throw away all your memories
And let go of someone so special
You thought me to embrace rain
And not run and hide in the shelters
You thought me to write poetry
Something I’ve never considered
You brought my smile back up
Whenever it hid behind unspeakable pain
And told me you’ll always be here
And never forget this miserable soul

I believe there are people who are meant to come into our lives...not necessarily to stay forever, but at least long enough to teach us things we need to know...and then they move on, but are never forgotten. That is what your poem reminds me of, and I found it beautifully said.
Thank you so much for a wonderful entry, and good luck to you.
Best wishes,
