why do paper cuts have to hurt so much?
they are so tiny that you can barely see them,
yet they seem to hold so much pain
why do we cover them with a band aid?
are we hiding our paper cuts from the rest of the world,
like a deep dark secret that we just cant let out
why do we hold all of our pain inside,
when we know it will only make the pain worse
why cant we show our paper cuts to the world,
and let them see our pain and our tears
we all have faults and imperfections
yet we hold them deep inside, trying to keep them from slipping out
why do paper cuts have to hurt so much?
because its the littlest things in life are the ones that seem to hurt the most

Paper cuts with such a meaning!!! Nicely out of the box here. You make them those small wounds which we keep hiding and we let it hurt us more. For the simplicity of this poem an applause, and for the real thoughts of this poem another applause. This is really a nice write, with something very important to say. Suffering becomes harder when hidden and tagged with shame. The poem starts with delight and ends with a queer sense of wisdom. Thanks. Congrats. Love. Sam.

G'day Writer

Interesting and true write. I hate getting a papercut, you barely see it and it stings more than getting a punch most of the time
Great write
Best of luck in the contest
Stay safe
