Mend Now My Soul

For it is love
in its essence
that condenses
from the aura of our soul

To swell
then slowly seep
down cheek
to cleanse and make us whole.

Such that the realization shines
full force upon our hearts and minds

Then joyfully with glistening eyes
takes up the battle banner’s cry
and marches toward another day
emboldened with pure words to say

the message that evaporates
from mystic tears that rain
full force
from spirit’s pain

into the gentle river
that becomes
love’s pool to swim
and bathe again in beauty
as without so is within.

This piece flows like with a gentle rhythm and simple beauty not unlike the cascading water background you chose for it. I love the thought of being "emboldened with pure words to say".

1 rule added to this contest - Don't entitle your poem "Mystic Tears" (you are more creative than that). Please don't reply to this comment. Thanks.
