Silver - Reading Minds
Miles away distance apart, We know about each other's farts (joke) My thoughts are hers, her thoughts are mine. We live in each other's mind. On any given day, I pick up the phone to call her, before the receiver is lifted ring.. ring.. shes there. It's funny at the same time we'll blurt the same word Giggling and laughing, I know it's absurd. We are two peas in a pod, knowing each other and, always alert. We know when each other is sad or glad miles apart. © Cara L. Greenlee, All rights reserved http://allpoetry.com/poem/3548146

this is about my mom and I , we have a very close bond and this poem is true. She used to have many powers of the mind before a motorcycle accident years ago . she could take your watch or such personal thing and tell you all about your life. She's slowly gaining these abilities back. One Evening in a bar my friend and I where speaking with my mom she stole his hat. He knew she could do such things so he didn't mind. She said to him is your Great Grandmothers name Estella, he said I'm not sure let me call my Mother who lived in Pennsylvania he asked the question you should of seen the look on his face , he said say that again to her, and quickly handed me the phone she said what my Mother had said, and I looked at my Mother said Get the hell away from me as a joke. Thinking maybe she knew of some of the bad things i had done . Then she proceeded to tell him of a friend and he said shut up I don't want to here of no more. He later told me why his friend had died a tragic death.
