the one I'd do anything for

she might be gone

through my head
and I wonder when they'll stop
When I cry
I lose all hope
that she is coming back
I know she's sick

I'm her emotional tech support
She knows when somethings wrong
I know when not to talk
we bonded together
as social outcasts
and teach each other much
we touch each other's
inner self
the one that can't let go
I hope she comes back
I don't know what I'll do
If I don't see her again

I am going through a similar situation with a loved-one right now too; not knowing if I will ever see that person again, and worrying about his well-being. I know it may be best for it to be over between us; but I still wonder if we can remain friends. Sometime that just doesn't work.
