RMS Lusitania,
RIP May 17, 1915
T'was a tragedy of monumental import,
a casualty of the great war,
who's passengers were warned in advance of the U-boats,
yet the warning t'was ignored, t'ill they were struck by the torp,
eighteen minutes,
one torpedo,
over a thousand dead....
a fatal event in history,
helped turn 'American public against Germany,
the outrage,
the fear.....
could have changed the world forever...

Superb
Aye, 'twas a sad event indeed. This is very well written and I like it just as it is. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I don't believe in removing poems unless they do not fit the criteria and yours certainly fits it so I won't and it is not that bad, you get the point across and have some of the facts in it even though it isn't all that long so good job anyhow.
