Innocent Wonder

Missing image

Do you think there's any depth to a reflection in a puddle?

If you really look deep into a puddle you can see what you set

your mind to see. It can be a reflection of what you have yet to

achieve or can be a retrospective look at what you have accomplished

already and maybe set you on the path you need to go.

Do you think youth only see themselves in shallow muddied waters?

Youth is too narcissistic. They see what they want to see and have blinders

on to anything out of their so called "box". Most do not see the muddy waters,

they see clear water.

Is there something else she searches for while skimming the

surface of rough sand, dragging point across, etching her name?

She is young with dreams. Life is still a mystery to her and full of

innocence. She hasn't reached the point in her life where she sees failure.

Her belief system is still intact.

There is a mystery to what a child sees and creates in their mind.

They are full of innocence and wonder.

We as adults must teach them, but never forget that we can learn

much from them as well.

Love them unconditionally, they are our future.

Beautifully done my friend. You have created a wonderful piece of poetic artistry here. This piece reminds me so much of my grand daughter who is 5 years old. The picture is her exactly and she never misses a good puddle. And she loves to play in the mud. Great piece.

children, so easy to love. how quickly we forget that for some, few years before and others, longer period, we too were children. I would like to think my heart and mind still has inside the feelings of a child. caring for others, no selfish, loving. Thank so much for sharing.

    we are these children

and through them we see ourselves...places we've been...things we dream...fantasy's strung to night stars...and the moon light amazements we pondered upon...long ago...and from the mouth of children...wonderments...we seemed to have forgotten...till this moment...we remember...cherish these inocents..for they are closes to God...and more to his likeness...as we are reminded...we are still such inside...Love what you girls did with your task...beautiful!
