I found her syllables
when waves splashed my lashes.
There was tide
in the pit of my stomach
leaving underlying meaning
in places of the soul, uncharted.
I discovered humble hope
blooming from harsh reality
and my eyes were enchanted,
blushing at the feel of feathered notions
that I was afraid to face.
I saw love painted blue
and my fairytales faded
blossoming into still life art.
Her poetry stole my heart
somewhere by the riverside.

Author notes
The very first poem I read of Carol's is not posted
"Riverside Louis Never misses a funeral" but I am also inspired by this collection by her

I am a big fan of this collection which will be coming soon, and she did choose a poem I wrote to be included on the back of the book which was a great honor!
She is a wonderful friend and a brilliant poet!

Mine, too. She's kept it safe for about 3 years now. Carol is simply a humble, honorable holy woman, her pen guided by things we cannot yet see...but her words make us aware of their presence, nevertheless. Beautiful tribute, Lynda. She deserves every kind word, every homage she may receive. Most of all, she is truly a good, kind, soulful person who really does care.
